When did you start at Walden West?  I started at Walden West on Feb. 3rd 2016.

How did you get your nature name?  Lobster in the kitchen named me Gator because its close to my last name.

Describe some of your favorite things in nature.  I enjoy the spring and summer, the animals around Walden West, I also like looking up and seeing all the stars when I arrive every morning (when its clear).

What are some of your hobbies or activities?  Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy riding my quad, camping, and playing board or yard games with my family.

JEAN "HONU" 

Fiscal Technician

When did you start at Walden West?  I started in May 2015 as an office administrator sub then a Fiscal Technician relief when she left in August of that year. I finally became permanent in February 2016 and since then I enjoy working here and love what I do.

How did you get your nature name?  I chose Honu because I love the water, the beach and tropical weather. Tahiti is on my travel bucket list and if I could retire anywhere in the world, it would be Hawaii.

Describe some of your favorite things in nature.  I love the smell of fresh air and I especially love the ocean breeze and the sound of raindrops. I also enjoy taking my dog, Luna, for a brisk walk at a park and play ball fetch with her. My favorite place to connect to nature is at a beach, watching the sunset and listening to the waves.

What are some of your hobbies or activities?  Just hanging out with family, movie and game nights. Trying out Filipino recipes and new dishes. My favorite summer treat is Halo-halo and favorite ice cream is pistachio. recently, I have been focused on my indoor plants and my all-time faves are the monstera deliciosa, hibiscus, and plumerias.

When did you start at Walden West?  I started in September 2019.

How did you get your nature name?  I was inspired by the melodious call of the noble Stellar's Jay. And it's also my first initial.

Describe some of your favorite things in nature.  Scenic panoramic views.

What are some of your hobbies or activities?  I enjoy cross-stitching and recreating dishes from my favorite TV shows like Iron Chef, The Great British Bakeoff, and Nailed It.
